Gig Reviews
As you can see I've been to quite a few gigs. I started when I was a teenager but didn't really get going properly until I was in my 30s. I remember some of the gigs better than others and definitely have a top 5 - set lists are linked to from the images.

A friend and colleague from the US convinced me to go to this as it was his thing. Psychobilly is how it was described. Plenty of energy and a definite mosh pit that I didn't get involved with, probably not really my thing! I can't find a set list for this either.

We were tired having flown back from Canada in the morning but it was still a great gig with all the favourites, plus a cover of an 80s Tiffany Track and a specially prepared Wembley song. Always a treat to see live and this was my 5th time.

Berrylands was a festival organised by a friend of ours. It had been a long running tradition to have a pub crawl for charity round every pub in Stevenage on May bank holiday but this year Kate decided she had enough of that and out on a festival instead. We had a lot of fun but Kate has vowed never to do it again!

An interesting one as the ticket is for Nick Cave. Well...if you look at the U2 Vienna ticket you'll see one of the warm up acts for that gig was supposed to be the Kaiser Chiefs. All the warm ups dropped out to play Live 8, I emailed them all to express my disappointment and the Kaisers were the only ones to get back and guest listed me at Brixton. This was the ticket they gave me. It worked and good gig, plenty of energy.

Our first visit to the "new" Wembley. I hadn't really heard much Muse before this gig apart from Knights of Cydonia so didn't know what to expect. Pretty epic stuff, looked amazing, just wish they had kept KOC until the encore.

A long time fan of the Brit Awards this was the first time I physically went and I had a great time. Some good acts and a great atmosphere.

Probably remembered for Oasis not turning up. It was decent couple of days albeit witnessing a guy fitting from poppers and overheating! Acts were pretty good and as far as festivals go the camping was pretty good.

A hell of a line up ruined by rude Danish people. We drove the entire length of Germany, got on a ferry and met a rude bunch of people. Asleep one night and some random tried to get in bed with me, our tent got let down another day and it rained (a lot). We left the day after RHCP and will never return.

Still my No. 1 gig. The same day as Live 8 so the support acts of Killers, Keiser Chiefs and Kasabian dropped out. U2 got a helicopter to the Ernst Happel Stadion and arrived just after dusk - a spectacle to say the least!

Just as they released their second album I went to see Coldplay and it's fair to say they blew me away. So much energy and raw talent...still a favourite even though it was a small gig.

Set at the Olympic Park to celebrate the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games, we went mainly to see the Foo Fighters but it was a god gig all round with the Kaiser Chiefs warming up for the main event. Foos were awesome but left us wanting more.

A bit of a shame this made Megadog go bust due to scaremongering by the government leading to nobody coming to Devon / Cornwall. A good laugh but would have been better with more people.

Missed the first of his gigs due to flu so made sure we got to this one. Great gig, a few Oasis fans still throwing beer. I love his solo stuff, many people came for the few Oasis songs.
